JUST SAY NO! Disconnecting apps and services

JUST SAY NO! Disconnecting apps and services

DO NOT DISCONNECT APPS AND SERVICES UNTIL YOU HAVE READ THIS!

Since you have no doubt already read the other posts about how all of this horrible works together, and you've already downloaded your data, you are all like "WHAT THE HELL?"

DO NOT DISCONNECT APPS AND SERVICES UNTIL YOU UNDERSTAND WHAT YOU ARE DOING!

Follow these steps exactly. Don't go willy-nilly disconnecting things or you will be sorry

1. APPS- I know you want to ditch this stuff as fast as you can. That's great. It's great unless you have accounts that are linked to those apps.

This is the case with a lot of apps. But here's the tricky part.

Here is an example-

Say you have an account with AirBNB.

I do. I also used the Facebook Login to create that account. If I disconnect from my Facebook before changing my AirBNB login won't work.

NICE!

I have worked hard to get a good rating on AirBNB. I want to be a trusted Guest and it makes securing a reservation a lot easier when Facebook digitally vouches for me. This account is important for me to access.

But guess what? No one seems to know how to disconnect from Facebook login. I have spent a little time trying to figure this out and will continue to.

If I delete the app from Facebook only, AirBNB is still allowed to scrape my data, plus the places I am trying to reserve won't allow me to

RIGHT NOW-

Go through your connected apps list and trash the ones you don't care about.

Delete the game apps, the strange ones that make no sense, etc, by hovering over them and clicking the X.

DO NOT delete the ones you use and recognize. Yet.

Now, THIS IS GOING TO MAKE YOU FURIOUS.

When you are looking at the app list and hover over an app, it turns into a link.

When the window opens you will see a handy link that says:

"Remove Info Collected by the App"
Contact the developer of this app to ask that they delete any info they may have stored and another link to: Learn More

THIS IS WHY FACEBOOK IS ABOUT TO HAVE HUGE PROBLEMS, from you and me.

You must contact each and every one of these app companies SEPARATELY to find out what data they have collected about you and how they are using it.

Yep. That's right.

-------------

For me, this is the biggest horror of what we have agreed to with Facebook and the thing we MUST use every available pressure to change.

They invited those developers into our homes, unbeknownst to us, and let them crap on the floor and steal our data. When we say we want them to clean it up, their response is "It's not me, it's the other guy. Tell him to clean it up!

"YOU SAID THEY COULD, KAREN!!"

This is obscene.  It's a child's argument for why they say "You said I could write on the walls with a green Sharpie." All you heard was "May I write?" because the child whispered the rest under her breath.
-------------

So anyway, delete the apps you don't recognize, but don't think that will necessarily ban them from accessing your data or using what they already have against you..

You'll need to contact them all separately to be sure of their policies.

You can click on the bottom link under the app to read their privacy policy, which will only make you angrier.

2. CONNECTIONS AND LOGINS

Your data file will show everywhere from which you have logged in to your account, ever.

Good luck if the cops ever try to link you to a crime.
----------

Your current page will show where you are currently logged in.

This will surprise you if you are a multi-device user.

Go to your page>Top right arrow> SETTINGS >SECURITY AND LOGIN and have a look. And disconnect that stuff. Even while you are not using the device, Facebook can crawl around in there unless you LOG OUT.

LOG OUT OF YOUR FACEBOOK SESSION EVERY TIME YOU USE IT.

Facebook’s TENTACLES ARE EVERYWHERE.

SUBSCRIBE AND KEEP READING FOR HOW WE STOP THEM

Ok, I can't figure out how to put a SUBSCRIBE button here but there is one if you go to the three little lines in the top left corner and then find the place where it says WANT WORDS?

This is the best I can do for now. I am very busy trying to tell you how Facebook is plundering your soul.
